Ansonia Police Raid Apartment

A police raid on a Hall Street apartment Monday morning netted brass knuckles, marijuana and two arrests.
Members of the Westside Block Watch had been complaining about drug sales, which prompted the investigation that led to Monday’s raid of a second floor apartment at 30 Hall St.
Inside police said they found about 10 baggies filled with marijuana, some cash, drug paraphernalia and brass knuckles.

Judge Orders GPS Tracking For Maynard

Former Ansonia Alderman Keith Maynard will have to wear a GPS tracking ankle bracelet, under the terms of a revised protective order approved at Superior Court in Derby Tuesday.
The change was in response to a complaint made to Ansonia police last month that Maynard may have violated the protective order against Ida Marie Lucarelli.

Derby Police Warn Of Thefts

DERBY —Derby police posted the following information on the department’s website today, Tuesday, Aug. 17.
“Residents and contractors are advised to keep tools and construction equipment secured while unattended. There have been numerous thefts from sheds, barns, trucks, and construction sites in recent months.”
Family Claims Maynard Violated Protective Order

Former city alderman Keith Maynard will face a court hearing on Aug. 17 to determine whether he again violated his protective order against Ida Marie Lucarelli Maynard last month.
Police said they are investigating a complaint filed on July 10 that Maynard may have violated the terms of the protective order shortly before then.
